EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS for primary and secondary school children

We are currently in Southern Europe immersed in a process of integrating digital skills in the Primary and Secondary educational environment. This process requires good educational planning of work through transversal projects, especially in the curricular and extracurricular spheres.

The so-called Robotics for children, or Educational Robotics, has been a first step in introducing new motivating elements in the classroom, such as with LEGO equipment® Education, Scratch, Makey Makey, Microbit, Makeblock, etc. Now we are in a new phase, where teachers become facilitators of infrastructure and process, to provoke significant learning of engineering skills, computational thinking, and efficient work in virtual teams (global competition).

For this transition the professional team of IGNITE Serious Play has been thoroughly prepared and has been prepared to convey the concept of the typical extracurricular robotics, towards a TECHNOLOGY CLUB technology agnostic, with the latest news Maker Tinkering.

To develop these digital skills, IGNITE Serious Play advises educational centers to introduce new technologies such as Educational Robotics, 3D Printing, Video Game Programming, etc. as a vehicle of expression and technological support, both in curricular and extracurricular workshop formats. In addition, we also offer course educational robotics for teachers.

Of course, good basic technology is not enough, and requires a good application of active methodologies such as Design Thinking, Gamification, Flipped Learning, etc.

For this reason, our pedagogical management team has designed a recurring support service for educational centers, where we design and implement work through transversal projects with technologies. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths), which includes Educational Robotics, Programming, as well as 3D Design and Printing.

3D design and printing based on citizenship projects and using the Design Thinking methodology.

 

EXTRACURRICULUM PROGRAMMING

Development of computational thinking and learning programming with video games in Minecraft and Make Code Arcade.

 

EXTRACURRICULUM MUSIC

Musical learning in a fun, playful way, adapted to age and knowledge.

 

Through a monthly fee, our professionals advise and train the teaching team of the educational center, throughout the school year, through training capsules and support for project work.

For example, at the beginning of the course we teach courses on Educational RoboticsCoding, as well as methodologies educational coaching eg LEGO® serious play.

This advice can be integrated into the workshop environment, into the curricular environment, as well as into the typical extracurricular format of RoboticsCoding3D printing with a duration of 1h 30min per week.

As a novelty, this year 2018, part of our team of professionals has been trained as GOOGLE CERTIFIED, so we can include in our portfolio of consulting services, the integration with the applications of Google Suite in the collaborative and communication environment of a center, as well as the introduction to Educational Robotics in the classroom with Chromebooks.
