1ts Term




During this first term, we learn to recognise the main parts of our robots and their components in order to familiarise ourselves with their functionalities. At the beginning we refresh basic mechanical knowledge that allows us to give stability, robustness, mobility or versatility to our model. By doing this, we acquire new vocabulary that allows us to identify the robots parts in English and solve small construction challenges.
At this level, we already have the possibility of programming our robots to perform specific tasks, which we carefully plan to solve logical challenges in the form of small adventures.
Depending on whether our prototypes are based on models built with Makeblock mBot, LEGO Mindstorms EV3, or LEGO WeDo, we will incorporate a certain traction system, infrared distance sensors, actuators or optical sensors that will allow the robots, for example, to follow a line without deviating or decide which path they should choose.
In some groups we exercise our hands-on skills with a electronic controller card called Makey Makey in order to be able to develop more flexible and creative projects in which we can apply everything we have learnt. We will continue to explore what else these cool robots and devices can do!
