1st Term

In this first term we learn to work on some basic aspects of the environment that we will use for programming and to understand how the block programming language works applied to the creation of video games.
We start creating and editing characters (sprites) in pixel format, working in a 2D design environment and creating scenarios in a programming environment called Make Code Arcade that allows us to produce video games in the style of the arcade classics of the 80s. Progressively, as we advance in the project, we will expand our programming vocabulary in English. In this way, we will learn to use these “drag and drop” blocks that contain instructions and connect together to form logical sequences.
In some programming groups we combine the creation of these video games with electronic boards called Makey Makey that allow us to connect the computer with peripherals created with cardboard, plastics and recycled materials to build, for example, a game controller.
Thus, in this initial period we will lay the foundations to understand and apply simple logical concepts and structures, such as sequences, patterns and cause-effect relationships applied in projects that stimulate the imagination and creativity of the students. We invite you to see our first creations!
Igniter Attitude
You have started the course with a very good behavior and a great desire to learn technology!
