This is how we transform afternoons in schools

When a school considers incorporating a technological extracurricular activity, questions often arise such as: “Will it be too complicated?”, “Will it engage students?”, “Does it really provide anything more than entertainment?”.

The good news is that the answer to these questions is much simpler than it might seem. and many educational centers in Madrid and Barcelona have already discovered it, taking the step with IGNITE Serious Play. And not only have they proven that it is possible to integrate these activities without difficulty, but they have also detected a real and positive impact on learning, motivation and school climate.

Today we want to tell you what happened at these centers. Because technology, when used purposefully, can transform the educational experience from day one.

A change that is noticeable from the first week

In many schools where we have started working, the first effect perceived is the most obvious: the students are excited.

Boys and girls who might not have signed up for other extracurricular activities find a space here to express themselves, create, make mistakes without fear, and discover what they are capable of. And they do. playing with technology, but also developing skills that will last a lifetime.

“My daughter comes out excited every Tuesday. She shows me what she's programmed, how she solved a challenge… and tells me she wants to learn more. It's the first time I've seen her like this with an extracurricular activity.”
— Mother at school in Madrid (2024/25 school year)

Much more than just “playing on the computer”

Our approach is clear: combining technology, creativity and project-based learningThroughout the course, students work on activities such as:

  • Learn to program in 3D video games like Minecraft Education
  • Design solutions to real challenges
  • Create robots and bring them to life
  • Prototype inventions with physical and digital materials
  • Explore 3D design

But beyond the tool, what they really work on are skills such as computational thinking, logic, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, perseverance, and communication.

And all this happens after school, in a relaxed and motivating environment, without homework or exams.

EThe real impact of our technological extracurricular activities

We have seen how these activities not only benefit individual students. They also strengthen the center's own educational project..

✔️ A positive atmosphere is generated on school afternoons.
✔️ Families perceive that the school is committed to innovation.
✔️ The value of digital competence is enhanced from an early age.
✔️ Attracts new families looking for a more modern educational approach.
✔️ Links are created between stages, areas, and student profiles.

“What surprised me most was seeing how students who usually zone out in other classes were completely focused on creating an educational video game. They were motivated and proud of their work.”
— Pedagogical Coordinator, Barcelona school, 2024/25 academic year

And how do we make it possible?

At IGNITE Serious Play we offer a turnkey model for schools:

  • We take care of the entire pedagogical design, materials and follow-up.
  • We have specialized educators, trained in pedagogy and technology.
  • We adapt to the school's schedules, groups, and spaces.
  • We coordinate with management and the Parents' Association (AMPA) to facilitate family registration.
  • At the end of the course, we offer a presentation of the students' work (open day, exhibition, etc.) to strengthen the bond with families and make learning visible.

The objective is that the school only has to say “yes, go ahead”We take care of the rest.

Real cases, real results

In the 2024/25 school year, more than 150 schools in Barcelona and Madrid worked with us. These are some of the results we've collected:

📈 93% satisfaction among the families surveyed
🧠 85% of students say they have learned something they didn't know how to do before
🎯 7 out of 10 students ask to repeat the activity the following year
🏫 100% of the centers renewed their collaboration after the first year. And most importantly: more motivated, creative students who are prepared for an increasingly technological world.

Your school can also be part of this transformation

If you're reading this and you're part of the management team or Parent-Teacher Association (AMPA) of a school in Madrid or Barcelona, we're extending an invitation to you:

👉 Let's talk. Let's get to know each other.

We'll tell you how we can collaborate and design a proposal that fits your school and your educational community. Because school afternoons can be much more than just monitoring or repeating classes.
They can be a space where technology, imagination and learning meet.
And your school can be the place where that happens.
